Chiropractic and Acupuncture Under One Roof!
So Much easier.
What are the benefits of having chiropractic and acupuncture under one roof?
The most time consuming part of doctor visits for most Mainers is driving to and from appointments and waiting once they get to the office.
Rather than driving to a chiropractor, then across town for acupuncture, waiting in two places, and then paying in two locations, it is much more efficient to go to one location.
You may have a family, a job, a life. Time, quality time, is irreplaceable. Respecting your time should be a top priority of any office you go to. After all, you are seeking help to enjoy your life, not to hang out in your car or the doctors office.
Time is your most valuable commodity, don’t waste it.
Don’t let others waste it either.
Is there a benefit to having one doctor perform both services?
What do you think? Having one person, licensed in both chiropractic and acupuncture, means that they can seamlessly integrate care holistically. They can also maximize the benefits of both for your specific needs. Do practitioners communicate about your case if they are in different offices? Sometimes, but not always. If only one doctor is caring for your needs, you can rest assured that they are communicating with themselves about your chiropractic and acupuncture care.
Are there many offices that offer both services in Portland, Maine and surrounding areas?
There are a handful of offices with practitioners who do single handedly provide both services. That being said, most acupuncturists are not chiropractors and most chiropractors don’t perform acupuncture. Look around and find an office you like, and then stick with it!
Are there any chiropractors in Cumberland County who spent a great deal of time in China?
Dr. Lou studied in Beijing, China for 2 years. He worked in China, traveled, spoke Chinese, studied cooking, culture, and Chinese medical theory.
What kind of acupuncture does Dr. Lou use?
When chiropractors in Maine are licensed to perform acupuncture, it is called “Chiropractic Acupuncture.” For Dr. Lou this is Chinese acupuncture, western medical acupuncture (dry needling), or a combination of both. Ayurvedic acupuncture also falls into the chiropractic acupuncture umbrella.
Does Dr. Lou accept insurance for chiropractic and acupuncture?
Most common forms of payment are acceptable. Dr. Lou accepts most major insurance plans, including MaineCare and Medicare. Chiropractic is always covered, always without a referral. Acupuncture, if covered by your insurance company, is a great benefit! If your insurance doesn’t cover acupuncture, we have very affordable out of pocket rates for private sessions.
